Lumiere built its foundation on a personal journey- from experiencing skincare challenges (and the insecurities that came with them) to shining skin and radiance within. It was important from the start that we matched Lumiere’s thoughtful approach to each service offering and created an identity system where optimism, hope, and resolve could thrive.
The Brand Concept
Lumiere- (noun) light; the source of light
Immediately drawing inspiration from the vibrant messaging of self-care and inward growth as well as the definition of the word. Lumiere is a place where you don’t have to hide, so the team chose a yellow that’s bright and bold. The wordmark was designed to be mirror how we can reframe the way we see ourselves and the world around us, leaving viewers with a wonder of emerging possibilities. The whole identity system was designed to enhance brand recognition and set Lumiere up as the community’s north star for skincare services. (Where the star reference is also a nod to the owner’s hometown of Chicago.
The Digital ID
In keeping with Lumiere’s holistic approach to skincare, the design was to be a single landing page, allowing users to easy get scheduling and services with a smile. Integrating with Square, a user can now book online with ease and begin the journey of seeing themselves in a new light.
